Rebellion is nigh in Matilda JR., a gleefully witty ode to the the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination! This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the "revolting children" who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson.

Story Wizards Performance Night-First Avenue Theatre Company
The Story Wizards is a First Avenue Middle School theater group that focuses on devised theatre . Throughout the year, middle school students are creating original theatrical works that they will devise as a group together. The Story Wizards primary work is based on stories written by Arcadia Unified elementary school students. Tonight's show will highlight the fantastically creative work of FATC middle school students AND the original writing done by the Arcadia Unified elementary school students. Join us for an evening of exciting, original work!

The Old Man and The Old Moon-First Avenue Theatre Company
Join the First Avenue Theater Company on November 20 at 7:00 PM for their production of “The Old Man and The Old Moon”.
The Old Man has kept his post as the sole caretaker of the moon for as long as he (or his wife, the Old Woman) can remember. When she is drawn away by a mysterious melody that sparks memories of their shared past, the Old Man must decide between duty (and routine) and love (and adventure). Luckily for audiences everywhere, he chooses the latter, and what follows is an imaginative sea-faring epic, encompassing apocalyptic storms, civil wars, leviathans of the deep, and cantankerous ghosts, as well as the fiercest obstacle of all: change.

AHS Colorguard and Percussion Spring Show
Come and enjoy amazing colorguard and percussion performances at Arcadia High School. This event features performances by the AHS World Guard, AHS World Drumline, AHS A Drumline, and color guard and percussion performances from all three AUSD middle schools. Special guests are students from the Hugo Reid Percussion Club. The event is held in the AHS North Gym at 6 pm on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
SCSBOA Festival
Join the Arcadia Unified Bands and Orchestras as they perform at the annual AHS SCSBOA Band & Orchestra Festival. Middle and High School ensembles from Dana MS, First Ave MS, Foothills MS, & Arcadia HS in addition to other local ensembles will perform and earn ratings from SCSBOA adjudicators. Free and open to the public. 8:30am-8:30pm

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Nineteenth-century London will come to life in our First Avenue Auditorium when your family joins First Avenue Theatre for the holiday season. A group of middle school students are trying to recapture the spirit of an old-fashioned Christmas with all their favorite characters: Tiny Tim and the Crachits, the Fezziwigs, the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet-to-Come. But can they pull it off with no sets or costumes to speak of? Hilarity ensues, but you’ll have to find out yourself this December 2023 with A Christmas Carol.

First Avenue Middle School Theatre - "A Monster Ate My Homework"
Join us on December 8th and 9th for an evening of live theater the whole family can enjoy! "A Monster Ate My Homework" has it all: mystery, horror, comedy, drama, action...even a little romance! You'll meet Obie Adams and a cast of crazy characters including a talking bird, an angry gorilla boy, Dracula and a stressed out theatre director. Find out what really happened to Obie's homework! Tickets are $5.00 and go on sale on December 5 at First Avenue.
